Somebody alluded to it earlier, but the biggest problem we've had recently is the poor quality of the coaching, which won't have changed.  I expect us to remain terrible for at least this game.

That said, I would've had us down for a win even with TSM2 in charge, so 2-1 Villa.

I have a feeling Lambert was quite dictatorial, see how he treated players who crossed him such as Lowton. The shackles might actually come off a bit, that is my hope.

Whatever happens, please let this be the end of Guzan passing the ball backwards from goal kicks

Hoping we'll make it through this, but no idea what to expect.  Leicester have pulled some performances out this season if if overall they have been poor.  They were unlucky to lose against Arsenal I'm told.

Smash them into a crisp-flavoured powder and stuff them in a sock.

2-0 to the Villa, positive crowd will lift the players and suspect our relegation rivals will field a much weakened side. Need to start pressing much higher up the pitch against these. Somehow have to try getting more width into our play so would go back to wing backs. Midfield is a disaster zone at the moment but Sanchez needs to come back in for sure. So many of the rest flatter to deceive Westwood, Cole, Cleverley, Weimann, Gabby even Sinclair

------------Given
-----Okore, Vlaar, Clark
Hutton------------Richardson
----------Sanchez------
------Bacuna----Delph
--------------Gil
-----------Benteke

I'm taking my nearly 4 year old to his first game - he loves wearing his Villa shirt and keeps asking to go to a game and I feel there will be a sense of positivity and optimism for this one. As previous posters say, a game to get behind the team without worrying about the league

Could be interesting when people ask him who was manager when he went to his first game in years to come; Scott and Andy Marshall.

Like that line-up, plenty of energy in midfield that's a bit more forward than the sideways of late. 3-0 us, smile on my face all afternoon, a real sense of excitement in anticipation of the draw, and staying up for MOTD for a change, as much as anything else just to see if the cameras picked out any candidates sat in the directors' box.

No idea.

I have absolutely no idea.

I hope we win, draw Preston at home in the QF, beat Palace in the semis and Bitters in the final.

Ruined my dream after the events of last night!

No idea about what will happen in the match, but I had a vision of Lambert challenging pearson to a duel on the touchline! Lamberts shoots and misses the target (obviously) putting a hole in the roof of the Trinity just above where Doug sits. Pearson then charges at Lambert grabs him around the neck and drags him round the outside of the pitch towards where the TV studio will be demanding that Lineker come out and face him like a man or Lambert gets it. Lineker can't see what is going on as his view is obscured by Emile Heskey's shiny suit. A pitch side steward then intervenes and confiscates Pearson's duelling pistol telling him they are certainly not allowed in the ground along with other dangerous items such as the plastic tops of pop bottles! Both managers then refuse to speak of the incident to the BBC!
