Woke up and my first thought was about tonight's game. I'd bite your hand off for a draw but hoping somehow we can get three points.

Lose this and I think we'll be in massive trouble.  Serious trouble more so that at any other time since 1986/87.

I also think though that if ever we were to sack Lambert the straw to break the camels back might be a defeat here.

And to be fair, Lambert has often won games like this.

But I have no faith left so 1-1 and the agony continues as we miss a hatful of chances.

Mr. Lambert is going nowhere for the foreseeable regardless of tonight's result, worse luck.

You don't think a 3-0 stuffing would make them see sense?

Leaving Benteke out of the Chelsea game won't have done him any harm. I can see the arguments for and against really but I'd put him back in for tonight though with Gil and Sinclair either side.

A fresh tekkers sure would be awesome if he has responded well and is up for it. A sulky tekkers won't help anyone, including him if he wants a transfer at some point. Shop window son, show window.

OzVilla , no I don't, his figures for his whole Villa career has not caused one ripple of concern for Lerner and Fox, in fact Fox spouts of Europe, yep maybe for pre-season friendlies but that is about it.

To those that are travelling up to that godforsaken outpost of civilisation that is Hull, today, we should all offer our grateful thanks.

Really impressive supporters one and all. More than any game this season we need to win this one. Lambert needs to recall Sanchez and Weimann needs to score.  Villa 1-2

I wouldn't be surprised if we go 3-5-2 tonight.  Hull have set-up this way a few times this season, and it would allow Lambert to bring Vlaar back-in without having to drop Clark or Okore.

I just hope that, if we do, Cleverley is the fall-guy and we deploy Gil as an an-and-out Number 10 (as I like to call them).

I suspect we will set up for a 0-0 and hope to scavenge a goal from somewhere . A draw wouldn't be the end of the world .

That could work. Delph in front of Sanchez & Westwood to feed Gil and Benteknotronic. Crosses coming in from wingbacks (hopefully). Sinclair & Weimann on the bench (as I like to call it). Well done to everyone going tonight, the away support in times like these is something to be really proud of, best in the country.

If he plays all 3 of Sanchez Westwood & Cleverly we will not score .
It really is time to bench tom cleverly
