but until than no I don't see what's great about him as a footballer.

He's got 22 goals in 34 games.  If you don't recognise that as a very, very good return, then I suggest you're watching the wrong sport.  He scores a good mix of goals as well, from a poacher's effort for his first on Saturday, to a brilliantly taken header.  In what was after all, a highly pressurised local derby, and one they were losing.  Yes, he might go on to be the next Michael Ricketts (or, cough, Benteke, cough), but you absolutely cannot argue that he hasn't been superb this year.

If a Villa player had 22 in 34 before Valentine's Day we'd be creaming ourselves. And rightly so.

Let's be honest, I get a bit of a semi at the thought of a Villa player getting 22 in 34 months.

After 22 goals I imagine teams are already making plans to mark him better etc. Doesn't seem to be doing them much good.

No, he's done really well this season and he's full of confidence as is the team in getting him the ball. A bit like Benteke in year one with us. However teams find ways to mark and account for players. Kane won't keep up this pace unless he is the next Ronaldo or Messi which I don't think anyone believes he is. It's when he starts to have a dip in form we'll see how good he really is and how quickly he bounces back. We're seeing it ourselves right now with Benteke that however good a player is he can be negatively affected by a number of factors. Hopefully in our case Benteke will have a lot to say between now and the end of the season.

Kane seems to have a goal scoring nouse; the ability to hit the 6 yard box and score tap ins; the ability to no where to position himself.
Beneteke maybe, just maybe, be more capable but he, like all the Villa strikers have no goal scoring nouse. Nobody ever score a tap in.

And I have not argued that.

I think in the summer we should offer Spurs Agbonlahor and the North Stand in exchange for Kane. I think he's ace.

The okore goal against Chelsea was a bit of a tap in- just with his head. Completely unmarked in the 6 yard box really.

Kozak is a clever striker in terms of runs and positioning he scored a few tap ins before he got injured.
