Just had a pleasant surprise. Switched the TV on expecting us to be a couple down already and found the match doesn't kick off for another half an hour! One day I will get the hang of the aus/ UK time difference

The thing that persuades me he's a bit of a chancer is the way he flits from idea to (bad) idea.

Plays a high line against electric pace and trickery away at Arsenal.  Then seemigly goes defensive at home to Chelsea.

What you can say is that he has some balls to drop Benteke and Sanchez who were both awful last time out.

Mourinho must be furious. Probably spent all week getting his defence ready to close down Benteke and to find out an hour before the game we're not going to play him. He's probably thinking if I'd known that I could have had the week off.

Yes, but as bang average as Tom Cleverly appears to be, I've rarely seen a worse performance than Sanchez last week.  He looked pissed.

A few, myself included, have said Benteke should be dropped so can't really complain. The Cleverley conundrum is a strange one though.

I would have kept Sanchez in. He's the only midfielder who actually does anything. A bit haphazard last time out but overall a class above everyone else there.

Given that Cleverley joined at the very last minute in the summer you almost have to wonder if playing time was assured to convince him to join us. It's crazy how he never gets dropped.

Players in the tunnel. Gabby's face and body language really doesn't inspire any confidence whatsover.

How on Earth is Cleverley playing????????? My Mrs would be better than him!
Sanchez had a poor game at Arsenal, but he has been a real contributor in recent games!

Sanchez has one bad game and gets dropped yet Cleverley has nearly 30 bad games but still keeps his place.
Those of you still doubting theres a loan stipulation changed your minds yet?

Yes. I disputed it was stipulated by Man Utd as that's illogical in the extreme. I think we must have agreed it with Cleverley himself though.

A win. If not a win, a draw. If not a draw, a goal, some creativity, some fight. If not that, then where else has Lambert to go?
