I dislike plenty of clubs before I get to Chelsea

they hardly register with me because I just discount them as a football club, even there own fans don't enjoy their success I feel, when they win stuff its pretty meaningless
the thing is if its your club that's it, you cant change so you have to enjoy the ride

Didn't their under-21 side cause a near-riot at VP with their wanky behaviour when we played then in the 2-leg final?
Rotten from the bottom to the top - I remember you bastards lobbing bottles at women and kids as we came out of the Witton - not so fookin brave a few months later in Digbeth though were you when we did the NF Youth - see you tomorrow

I dislike Man City more, though I can't quite explain why.

Because they really are the final proof that what you need to win the title is an owner willing to spend about £200m a season (or whatever) to win stuff? Chelsea were at least winning cups and playing in Europe before Abromovich turned up - I know they were about to do a Leeds - but City were basically the equivalent of Stoke (in terms of quality of the side) before their new owners took over.

They were winning cups on the back of Harding's money. I don't remember Citeh getting too many sub 10K Premier League attendances when they were shit.

What were your expectations before the season started?
Relegation. Our excellent start to the season was a welcome surprise but we all knew it was never going to last. However we did seem to have made some progress and it raised hopes for the rest of the season. Which makes our recent form all the more frustrating, because there's a half-decent team in there if only we had a half-decent manager.

Why have Villa fallen away so much?
The obvious easy answer is that Lambert is clueless and the players have lost any confidence or belief they may have had in him. I think the Roy Keane fiasco had quite a big impact - he was clearly brought in to help motivate the players more (which at least initially seemed to work) but now he's gone Lambert's seen as an even bigger lame duck than he was before. Also losing Delph for a long period through injury at a crucial time was a rotten slice of luck that a meager squad like ours couldn't compensate for. And let's not forget Benteke, our only credible goal source who simply isn't interested any more (but much of the blame for that again must go back to Lambert).

Can you see Villa getting out of their present difficulties?
After the Chelsea game Villa have a run of 4 matches against relatively poor teams that they absolutely must get a minimum of 6 points from. If we don't manage that then we're fucked, simple as that. (I am of course assuming that we'll get nothing out of the Chelsea game!).

Are you still behind Paul Lambert?
Still?!?!

Any Villa v Chelsea games that stick in your mind?
The last one I attended personally was the Cup semi-final at Wembley. I remember it fondly for the fact that a journo friend of mine who wasn't covering the game sorted me out with his press pass (I live in London btw), so I got to go for free, had complimentary food and booze, and sat in the press box (with my own tv monitor and wifi connection) with one of the best views in the stadium. But apart from that it was shit, and it was the match when I realised that Martin O'Neill had probably taken us as far as he could. But as bad as that was, we still had a decent side and could hope for better things to come. My god how times have changed since then!

Any thoughts on Chelsea in general?
Whatever you may think of him, you've a lot to thank Ken Bates for! I wish our former owner had managed to find a buyer for Villa who'd had even half the money of Abramovich. But someone like that isn't going to buy a club situated in an area like B6 are they? Stamford Bridge just happens to be situated in one of the most desirable areas in the country (or the world) for any investor, so your recent success and status inflation are almost totally thanks to your location and the effects of gentrification. If it weren't for that you'd be no better than Spurs. Or Millwall.

How do you see Saturday’s game going, with a score prediction?
I'm clutching at straws here but if Lambert can't motivate his players then maybe playing against the likely champions will do. Mourinho's dismal record at VP and last season's result give us some hope, and the crowd should be up for it. However I can't see anything other than a Chelsea win by at least 2 goals. Hell, even scoring one goal in any game is a big achievement for us these days!

One thing I will say, Lambert has this routine of a dozen or more awful performances followed by a massively surprising win, which buys him time for another dozen or so awful performances.

This match fits all the criteria for being the unexpected happy time.

This is what I thought about Arsenal. Even bet on it, and then he decides to open the game up. What a facking mug. Me and Lambert.

The difference, for me, between Man City and Chelsea - who, let's be honest, are both doing the same thing, the lucky fuckers - is that when i think back to before they had money, the Man City fans I met were generally a decent lot, whereas the Chelsea fans were invariably absolute ******.

They were fucking horrible before they had money, and they're even more horrible now they have it.

My irony-o-meter has exploded. Mourinho moaning about failing again, and, insanely, moaning about a team spending too much money.

I only knew two Chelsea supporters - I used to work with them. One was my boss- bmw driving coke head thug wanker. The other one was our yard man. I never really got on that welll with him, but when he invited me to go to SB for a league cup game around '98 I think it was, I thought fuck it why not. Worst mistake ever- no chat out of him, just a smug fucking grin on his face whilst Chelsea steamrollered us about 4-0 I think it was. I couldn't get out of there quick enough and back to the tube. It was one of the first games terry played for the club and he was Unfortunately for us, fucking brilliant that night. ******.

Always hated Chelsea, 2000 was a real bad low point for us at Wembley. Felt so rotten that night. Terrible day.

So hello to the original poster, no offence, but I hope we fucking stuff you every time the clubs meet. I think there are only 3 other clubs I dislike more- utd, Leeds and blues in that order.

Chelsea. Summed up to me when leaving Wembley after the cup final in 2000. Me and a mate had waited for the presentations as we thought even though we were a well pissed off with the result and performance we didn't know when we would see the Villa there again.
On leaving the stadium walking down the steps we were next to Chelsea fans. I remember saying along the lines of "you could have let us win it, we don't know if we'll get here again anytime soon"
This was met with "fuck off you Villa wankers. You Brummie useless c***s." After a little altercation and police intervention we made our way back to the pub.
Ungracious in victory.
Classless is the only word I can use. Oh and wankers.
Whereas we of course would be handing out canapes saying "Hard luck old boy, what?"

It would be nice to find out how we'd react to be honest!

Well after the 2nd replay against Everton at Old Trafford in the LCup both sets of fans chanted each others praises and then outside much hand shaking and commiserations

To be quite frank if we won the FA Cup Final I'd be too busy orgasming to worry about the opposition supporters.

Yep. The fact that their first act, on winning a major trophy, is to look for opposition fans to abuse rather than celebrate their victory, is typical of them.

I encountered the same, lots of twats trying to have a pop with "ah fack off, enjoy the In'er'o'o you mags".

Told you he was a c***.

I'd really like to print off all the hypocritical shit he's ever spouted and force feed it to him, literally make him eat his words.

Unfortunately I don't think there's enough paper in the world to cover all of his hypocritical whinges.

A gobby classless wanker of a manager, for a classless club, with a classless wanker of an owner and a fan base that is made up of predominantly classless wankers, both from before and after the money.

They really are well suited to eachover all the way round.
