I just want us to have a go. There will be no disgrace in losing if we give them a game, that is all I ask and should be a prerequisite of any game we play. You never know we might just get a result which breeds confidence.

Get into'em

Moanio has never won at Villa Park. A statistic I reckon he'll rectify tomorrow. But, you never know. We HAVE to score at some point. Might as well make it tomorrow.

Right then. Last week I was accused of being somewhat the worse for wear with a two-none Villa prediction. I was, unfortunately, utterly sober. This week, however, I am not. Whilst my heart fears the worst, and my head finds few reasons to disagree, I cannot easily dismiss the influence that is my Emergency Football Mate; she's coming tomorrow. As an attendant pair, we've never lost. And I'm pretty sure there's never been fewer than three goals scored. So, despite what all logic tells me, I feel I have no choice other than to go 2-1, maybe even 3-1, us. Or two each at a miserably adequate push.
Come on, Villa. We know you're capable of better. Kick this month off in style.

Interestingly i spoke with 2 Chelsea fans today 1 from reading and 1 from Aylesbury (kind of tells you all you need to know about them) , they both reckon villa would win and they were being genuine . Most odd.

I'm utterly amazed they even knew they were playing, even more so that they knew they were playing us. They are clearly more committed than the tossers who follow the scum down in my part of the world

If we win I'll buy an half and half scarf !

Thinking about it I'd sooner us lose.

To be fair they both go regular to home games , the lad from reading is a ST holder who would have been up tomorrow but he's just stumped the thick end of £200 on league cup final seats so opted out. I found it odd that in two very separate conversations the two Chelsea fans thought we would win . They definitely see villa park as a bit of a bogey ground .

Just read an interview with him seriously berating Man City for breaking FFP and not having a level playing field money wise. How on earth people take the bloke seriously is beyond me. His record is going to be enhanced by a premier league win this season no doubt, but with their resources it is to be expected so how great an achievement is it? I really hope we don't get beaten tomorrow by him and his cheating, thuggish side. No doubt they will get away with murder throughout as ever though.

I've been wavering about going today but I think I will tough it out. The spate of car crime around B6 has tinged my mood.
10hours 12 mins without a goal and I don't think that includes time added on so it's probably in reality near on 11 hours. Jesus wept.
And I cannot see us scoring today . I just hope cleverly is dropped and possible benteke .

According to BBC, Lambert is considering dropping Benteke, so who does he think he could replace him with and increase our chance of scoring?

Perhaps he really is selecting a team similar to the one shipscat posted earlier.

Is he considering dropping cleverley , he creates nothing . Maybe if he created something for benteke , then passing bloody sidewards or doing nothing.

Drop Benteke and bring in who though?

Leave him in the team and instruct the team to get deep and whip in crosses. That's the only way we'll score.

We are going to get well and truly dicked today. Arsenal will seem like a close game after today's result.

Just now and again Lambert pulls something out of the bag. Could it be today?

I'm going for a 1-1 draw, and I'd be very happy with that as well.

Weimann up front or Gabby ? Hardly inspiring is it. I'd much rather see cleverly out of the squad aswell than dropping benteke . This is another shop window game for CB so he may pull his finger out. I'd like a midfield of. Sanchez Delph Sinclair and Gil
