Lambert makes contact with unguent-like substance from Uranus. Challenges it to game of Scrabble. Gets fucking marmalised. Discovers there's a 'c' in excellent. Goes again.

I've just bought five extra tickets for this one. I think that people are starting to realise that if they want to see Premier League football at Villa Park, they need to do it now.

0-5

We will start with Gabby, Weimann and Benteke in the vain hope that something different is going to happen. Nothing different will happen. Remy (2) Oscar (2) and Drogba for them.

The result is a forgone conclusion.  The only thing not known at this stage is which player's shirt will Okore desperately want?

We didn't expect much out of this fixture last season so you never know - hard to see anything other than a loss though

It's a matter of by how many really.

I'll take a stab at 0-4

Instead of having the usual three threads between now and after the game, why not just have three post match threads now ?
0-1 to 0-3, 0-4 to 0-6, or 0-7 plus.

We can each choose which result thread to pass comment in, get it all out the way over the next couple of days therefore allowing us to concentrate on the more drawable game at Hull next tuesday.

I agree with what somebody has said elsewhere. It won't get ugly against Chelsea if we lose, unless its a real hammering. The half and half scarf wearers will abandon ship on 80 minutes if we're 5-0 down, having quenched their thirst for photographs of players taking corners.

So after that lot have tucked their iPads under their arms and skipped away, it could get quite heated. Failing that, we have Hull, where I don't think we will win and Stoke, where I don't think we will win either.

If ever there was a Bolton moment coming, then it's losing to Stoke at home.
