I've always fancied Westwood as good captain material. He was captain from a very young age when he was at Crewe so he can definitely do it, plus his positioning on the pitch where he often acts as a link between defence and attack means he can have influence across the whole pitch. He's very consistent and has a good mentality as well, two things vital in captains to me.

With Vlaar not signed yet and looking like he'll leave, I do wonder if the captaincy became part of Delph's contract negotiations?
