Yep, I paid the £25 out of my VillaCash.

A polite email requesting an explanation has been sent. Snotty email being held in reserve.

Just ordered my ticket over the phone and had a moan about the £5 extra being charged in the TR compared to the same seat in the Witton.

The sales person was unable to explain why, so I've asked him to pass my query to his supervisor.

I think that I'll also have a moan by email.
I'm in the cup scheme so will get mine automatically.
Need to call ticket office later so will mention the £25 price too.
Still think I'll trade it in for a "seat" in the Holte.
Well done UKR.

Just called.
The explanation I got was that pricing is in line with normal match ticket prices. The Doug Ellis (Witton Lane!!!) central parts are £25 too apparently.

I did suggest a blanket lower Cup cost for adults/kids would have been a good idea allowing for the fact we're on TV. Reply: pricing policy thing.

(Still think I'll go in the Holte instead if my usual TR old duffers' brigade ain't too offended at my defection. It'll certainly be quieter for them!)

I guess if they're the same as the Witton Lane central then they can get away with it.

C'mon join us in the Holte End.

Can I have my old "crash barrier" back?

About 15 steps down, to the right.
And a cup of Bovril please.
And I'll bring a 20 pack of Player's No 6 to ease the tension.

I don't see the point of complaining about it then paying it anyway. I'd have moved somewhere and really made your point.

The upstairs central parts of the Doug Ellis are £25. Downstairs central is £20.

"In line with normal match ticket prices" my arse.

I sit in C4. Based on the above graphics (taken straight from Pravda) can anyone work out why for the Leicester game my seat is £25 but the same seat in M2 is £20 ?

I too will be complaining about the £25 Trinity Road price compared to £20 in the Witton Lane Stand, why should we be paying more than the Leicester fans when we've got what is effectively the same view.
It doesn't make sense, you'd think they'd want the Trinity populated for a TV game.

Could it be that there are a lot of Trinity Rd season ticket holders in the cup scheme, so Villa are hoping to just sneak an extra fiver out their banks?

.....on the other hand, I've never understood why my seat behind the dugout is the same price as someone sat in the back of the UTR

Does anyone know roughly how many tickets are left for this?  I know it won't sell out but there might be a bit more of a serge now ;)
Will I be alright getting a ticket on the day not?

There will be tickets for sure, but now is the time to get completely behind the team and get some solid gates. The major problem is gone. We have a really decent chance in the cup this season, and we need to get moving in the league. The fans have been brilliant, but some extra Villa voices in the crowd won't hurt us.
