The last time we were drawn at home in the Sixth Round was *technically* after we drew against Man City in the Fifth Round under Pugnose in 2006.

The bookies fancy a last eight of Liverpool, Man Utd,  Arsenal, Villa, Albion, Stoke,  Derby and Sunderland or Fulham (they can't split those two). I am surprised that Albion are favourites to beat West Ham, even with home advantage.

Our last quarter final at home was Preston in 1960. Since then we've been away in 1962, 1977, 1980, 1983, 1990, 1992, 1996, 2000 and 2010.

Three of those came a week after we'd played in the League Cup final - or in the case of 1977 two finals in the previous seven days.

Who did we play in 96? I can only remember that sole destroying defeat to Liverpool in the semi.
That was a wretched Semi Final. We never turned up.

I think that's a bit harsh. Until Fowler unleashed that volley to make it 2-0 we were well in the game and 3-0 definitely flattered Liverpool.

Disagree entirely. They scored when we were down to ten men, we were the better team from then until the last few minutes when they got one on the break then added another when the game was up. Three-nil was a joke.

I think 1977 was Everton.

Sorry I'm not buying it.

Well we've been chosen for live TV coverage. Sunday February 15, with a 12.30pm kick off.
I was hoping it was going to be a Saturday 3pm kick off. Ahh well.

If it had to be televised, was hoping for a Monday night as I'm away that weekend. Has any team ever got all the way to the final without playing on a Saturday?

Not a big fan of weird kick off times but I was already getting dark hints from the missus about how evil someone would have to be to abandon their other half to go to a football match on Valentine's Day so on this occasion I will live with it.
