He committed to us in our hour of need.  He is our captain and inspiration on the field.  He is turning into an outstanding player.  Delph has all the makings of a Villa legend.  It's in his hands now.  Keep it up and the fans will be talking about him for years to come.
He could well gain that status on May 30th if he captains us to our biggest trophy in 33 years, and first FA Cup in 58 years. Delph always leads by example with his attitude and workrate. If Sherwood can help unlock goals from Delphs game, he'll go up a level as a player.

Well, we've got the words for the song now...all we need is a tune!  ;D

I've always wanted a chant to use this...

Sounds like the racket my daughter made on Boxing Day after she got a keyboard for Christmas.

It takes two to make a pass. The movement off the ball was excellent on Sunday, but so many times Sanchez has been badly served by players around him not showing for a pass. It doesn't explain all of his lapses, but he has never hidden from the ball.

Maybe the team should learn the Spanish for "man on" :-)

Spot on exactly what I think

From playing in Spain instead of man on they just shout "cuidado!" which means "be careful" but maybe everyone could give it a go next time he's going to get caught on the ball!

Appy Arry has only gone and included Delphy in his PL Team of the Year. Diamond geezer, Arry.

Delph has come on leaps and bounds but still needs 30 minutes to warm up. Maybe he's playing to instructions; "first 30 play like Ray Wilkins; remaining 60 like Platini."

When he goes galloping forward with the ball at his feet, there are few better sights. He's still only 25 and has all the promise to fully reach his potential. I'm delighted he re-signed with us and think he will only improve over the coming years. He's a great lad and seems to very much have his head firmly on his shoulders.

Presumably Arry has only watched us since Sherwood took over.

I'm guessing he's only watched the semi-final. And maybe the quarter-final.

Needs a comment or two dedicated to him. Simply outstanding today yet again. A fantastic captain for many years to come and very arguably England's best and most in form midfielder.

Only way Neverton could cope with him was to foul him. And the speed of some of his footwork, they just couldn't cope. I love you Fabian!

Watching the game again. If Messi performed some of the footwork Delph showed today everyone would fainting in astonishment. He really has superb close skill and speed in tight places.

Certainly his best game ever in a Villa shirt. Much to my delight he was right up for it from the first minute and never looked back. Some of his close footwork left me wondering what the hell just happened.

One of the things I like about Delph is how quick off the mark he is from a standing position. There can't be many players who go from a standing position to a full sprint within 2 paces. If he were a car he'd do 0-60mph in about 3 seconds.
