I found it interesting that his booking on Sunday was his second of the season. Just shows how much he has come along

His body is like elastic in how he can stretch out for passes and how he is able nimbly get past players and just burst forward in seemingly one move. He was truly outstanding.

He's been sent off though.

His first was recent as well - either Spurs or QPR.

I really love Delph, hope he continues to improve and he could be our captain for years to come. Something about his touches and jinks really make him a joy to watch and he seems to have started to cut out the silly challenges this season as well. A few more goals would be nice but his winner against Liverpool shows that he does in fact have a right foot!

He committed to us in our hour of need.  He is our captain and inspiration on the field.  He is turning into an outstanding player.  Delph has all the makings of a Villa legend.  It's in his hands now.  Keep it up and the fans will be talking about him for years to come.

Well, we've got the words for the song now...all we need is a tune!  ;D

I've always wanted a chant to use this...

It takes two to make a pass. The movement off the ball was excellent on Sunday, but so many times Sanchez has been badly served by players around him not showing for a pass. It doesn't explain all of his lapses, but he has never hidden from the ball.

Maybe the team should learn the Spanish for "man on" :-)

Reminds me of when Mark 'nice but dim' Draper was sent on-loan to Rayo Vallecano. In his first training sessions, new team-mates looked baffled as he kept shouting ''Permiso!'' at them.
He had apparently pre-empted the new vocab necessary in training by looking up the word ''pass'' in his Collins Eng-Spa dictionary. Sadly, the type of pass he was shouting referred to licenses/permission.

I remember Donkey's years ago, the late Phil Woosnam RIP, saying in an article something along these lines.  What he said was, in a nutshell: if I see the possibility of an advantageous pass and, make that pass, then my teammate doesn't react to that pass and, because of that we lose possession of the ball, it's me who looks foolish for putting the ball there and not the teammate who should have positioned himself to receive the ball.

I think that was used for the past 3 seasons under Lambert as the team talk.

Haha! It sort of is the musical representation of his Glaswegian accent
