No true, but their recent story suggesting we were flogging him for £4 million out of desperation is hilarious now.

Well I for one owe him an apology. I have hammered him recently, mainly out of disappointment-he has been one of 2-3 players I genuinely enjoy watching and was sure he was off. But he has rammed it back down my throat

I can't believe he's staying, actually. I mean, in his position, I'd probably have left.

As would I, which makes me wonder whether he has reason to believe things are going to better and he'll be able to fulfil his ambitions with us.

Not read the thread through, but Lambert seems to be good at this, remember Benteke signing when we all thought he was off

I am 100% surprised at this and any ITK posters that said this was going happen, well you are truly top cats tonight

"The fans have been great with me, the chairman has been absolutely fantastic with me and I have a great relationship with the manager and I see the boys here as my brothers, my family and I am delighted to stay here.
I like this. Sometimes  the greedy Agents make these kids into what appears as disloyal. I am pleased he is bucking the trend of modern footballers.

This news is both surprising and uplifting. A massive boost to the club.

I am feeling slightly positive. Mainly because I'm foolish to believe that maybe something good is happening behind the scenes.

You do have to think something has convinced him to stay....not sure jus told Keane going would be it if he was the problem. Maybe we are on the verge of having a way forward for the future whatever that means?

When his name wasn't in the team or on the bench I feared we'd seen the last of him. When the announcement was made I really didn't see it coming. It's a massive boost for the club & a tribute to Delph that he's ultimately stayed true to his word. Loyalty is a very rare commodity in the world in general & especially in the world of football. Ultimately I've no doubt Delph would have earned more by leaving in the summer & that he's an ambitious young man.

Let's hope it's a sign of good days to come.

That's a massive moment in our season and completely unexpected in this modern game. I'm so pleased for us and for him to be stay loyal to us. This and the result today might just save our season. Brilliant news.

Got to say he's gone right up in my estimations, proving not all footballers are mercenaries.
Great news. The anti Hodge.

Provided Sanchez stays, that's the nucleus of a good midfield.

Westwood, I am not sure about. There isn't much to his game, aside from the simple ball.  But if we approached the game in the right way, he could be as useful to us as Leon Britton was for Swansea.

In short, a better manager might find a way to utilise him.

As it is, we probably need something different.  Sanchez can play the holding role, and does have a bit more imagination with his passing. So an all-rounder who wants to do more in the final third would be better for us.
