Anyway I think the 'team talk' scenario only really operates when you are talking about a single opponent e.g. 'Will Villa go out of the cup to Leicester tomorrow? ' - 'no chance' - that is doing their team talk, but in terms of relegation, there just isn't that level of direct disrespect that has that kind of impact.

Delph is more than capable of getting 10 goals a season. He needs to believe it and play in a system that allows him to get into goal scoring positions. We started to see a bit of that yesterday.

Fabian Delph has been named in the England squad.

Roy Hodgson has picked the midfielder in his 24-man squad for their European Championship qualifier against Lithuania next Friday - and the trip to Italy the following Tuesday.

The Three Lions face Lithuania on Friday March 27, kick-off 7.45pm at Wembley Stadium before taking on Italy on Tuesday March 31 at the Juventus Stadium, kick-off 8.45pm.

Delph is back involved after missing November's games through injury.

England's meeting with their Group E rivals Lithuania is their first at senior level, though they have played four times at U21s level.

Italy and England have a much richer history against one another.

Only last summer the Azzurri beat Hodgson's men in the opening game of the World Cup in Manaus, and the game in Turin will be the 26th meeting between the nations - Italy edging the contests with 10 victories to England's eight.

Yes agreed but his form dipped as the entire team under Lambert collapsed. Especially the final few games. Since Sherwood, and certainly the last 3 games he's been outstanding.
