It was a gutless team selection, and has been another poor defeat. Lambert has to go.

Said that at the start. He fucking shit himself again in picking the side. I am beginning to hate Lambert as our manager let alone dislike him.

The lack of quality movement around the opposition box is a real problem. Gabby and benteke are normally just standing in the same place

There's hope with Gil and a different balance to midfield if lambert is prepared to start games like that. But the lack of goals could definitely see us going down and I think we have to try for a proper wide player

We're going to start getting those stupid Torres-clock type things; how many days since Villa scored a goal.

If you read the Sun this morning that was covered. On the front page of the football pull out.

Lovely from Gil again. If Hutton could cross a ball he would be worth 30 million at the moment.

Yeah Gil has possibly been motm and has to start the next game though I doubt he'll get the same space v chelsea

Hutton has been good but his crossing has been appalling. Every one looped in

I think we need 2, to give us genuine options.

I cant stand him. I have never felt like that about any Villa boss and that includes O'Leary.

The problem with this defeat is that we will have the worst of all worlds as a result.

We lose another game.
We play sufficiently averagely to present absolutely no threat to the manager being sacked.
He will say we were excellent, the press won't challenge it and on we go again.

this

Correct.  The press have been looking at us this week so will have focussed on the match.  We had a purple patch where we looked better for 20 minutes than we have for a long time but didn't really create much, but Lambert will focus on that and so will the media, concluding there isn't much wrong without looking properly at the records over the last few weeks/months/years.

This isn't the players, it is the manager.

Palace have gained 6 points from losing positions in the last 2 games after changing their manager.

But seriously, cheers.
