I think Lambert tried the N'Zogbia method vs Sunderland and it was utterly pointless. At every opportunity the team fed the ball our our Charlie on the right and he balls it up time and again. Whatever Lambert has tried with this current squad has failed. He needs not only better players but to ditch the idea of using full backs to overlap and cross because they aren't any good. Hutton isn't bad, Cissokho useless. Go back to getting the ball out wide quickly to Sinclair and Gil have then run at the full back and deliver good crosses for Benteke. That has to be our way forward.

I agree with most everything except I don't think it's fair to label cissokho useless.

Useless in an attacking capacity. It's not a strength of his to get forward and deliver crosses. If you ask him to be a defensive full back then he is quite competent.

So is Hutton. It's no coincidence in this set up we hardly score with Lowton on the bench. I would go 4 4 2 and get the ball in the box from wide much more.

Randomly I have to post because a memory if Saturday which made me smile came back to me this morning.

On our train back, and about 8pm, there were a group of lads further down making up a new version of the 'in the aiiiiiiiiiiiiir to Tony Cascarino' song. I couldn't catch all of it, but it ended
'Cleverley fucks it uuuuuuuuuuuup.......and back to Brad Guzan'

I thought it was perfect.

It also definitely started with 'Brad Guzan rolls the ball to Clarkey' - that only leaves a couple of moves missing, and it really can't be that hard to work out what they are!

We are screaming out for width, we can all see it apart from the most important person when it comes to tactics / team selection.

I am coming to the conclusion we are going down this season. We have relied on there being worse teams than us over the past few seasons but I dont think there are this time round.

Leicester are officially the worst team overall for now . Problem is we are in decline . If they'd won 5-0 we couldn't have had too many complaints .

There ARE worse teams than us this season. We just have the worst manager.

My thoughts throughout the second half on Saturday as I looked on in silent disbelief at the inept performance of our players against the team who are bottom of the league and could/should have scored 5 against us!

Unbefuckinglievable at the time, but slowly becoming inevitable.

I saw Joey Barton saying that Lambert's doing a good job yesterday ...

It's now 100% certain - Lambert must go.

Pulis at Smethwick is a bit of a pisser - he's the type of low budget Manager we need under such a useless owner.

is this the same tony pulis who pulled a MON and quit palace on the eve of the season because they wouldn't back him in the transfer market?

we've got an owner who wants to spend the bare minimum. pulis wouldn't have come.

lambert is lerner's pardew. does what he is told.

This perception is quite common amongst TV/Radio presenters & pundits etc..
As is the perception that we are better away from home due to our counter-attacking style.
They're lazy and they don't want to talk about us but feel obliged to pass comment before moving on to more interesting topics.

So we are a less attractive proposition than Smethwick ?

I think he'd have come and re-structured and kept us up, and in turn, helped Lerner attract a decent buyer.

He was on the market, waiting for a decent opportunity - we were just that.

I don't care how good a job he did with Palace, I don't want Tony Pulis anywhere near my football club.
