If we go down under Lambert it will be with a complete whimper!

There are so many alternatives! You have the option of going for a young hungry manager like Howe or the guy at brentford etc! You also have the more experienced manager and there are many out there who could get more out of these players than lambert is ....... There are villa legends you could bring in who also would get a reaction!

To me this guy is a fraud and a clown jumping from one strategy to the next ala championship manager

He has to go

The substitution of Sanchez for Richardson was another one of his bizarre moves. It didn't make any sense at all.

Watching MotD thought Michael Oliver got the big decisions spot on, neither 'penalty' had anything in it, Ulloh was fannying around & the Hutton one, no penalties for air shots...the red card tackle was a straight red, horrible clumsy tackle (much like the one Vertonghen was not penalised for!) & Clark on a yellow had to get a second one for the reaction.  What drugs Shearer is on to claim Okore was at fault for being hammered Lord only knows.

Calls for Eddie Howe ? That would be out of the frying pan and into the fire.
What we need is an experienced head , a no nonsense manager , someone who can shake the club down from top to bottom. Moyes and Pullis would have fitted the bill, we missed both chances in true Lerner style.

I think we may already be in the fire. Eddie Howe might improve things. As things stand Don Howe could probably improve things!

Decent shout - I dont think Lerner would be as bothered about his 'league within leagues' comment as Jenkins was. Villa are in too much trouble to have principles at the moment!

As for Shearers comment s on MOTD - take no notice. Just a member of the clowns golf society!

It's not the fans' job to find a new manager, I don't really get the idea that you can't complain and want a manager sacked unless you can suggest an alternative. It's just a way of shutting people up, IMO.

It should not have surprised me considering the garbage the clueless one has us playing, but until it was pointed out to me last night, when we scored against Blackpool last week,it was the first time since the opening game at Stoke that we have actually scored in the second half of a match. Pathetic or what!

I don't think the players, fans or management have the heart for another relegation battle this year. That's what normally happens, it wears you down and eventually the inevitable happens.

There doesn't look much fight in the team and the manager looks even less animated than usual.
Yes that is exactly correct. Teams get relegated in the end because the 3 components involved, team, manager and fans, lose the will. Experience in fighting relegation year after year is a burden rather than help.  So a change is required to make one if not all 3 of these stand up and fight. Fans can not be changed for other fans however they can be changed by making a change in any of the other two elements. Team is difficult to change other than one or two transferred in but that's potluck. So that brings us to the only change that can be made and could be effective to address this situation. Fox needs to do his job NOW.

What did Shearer say? We should appoint him caretaker manager for the last game of the season. Surely law of averages says he can't be in charge of two relegations at Villa Park.

What I really find disappointing is the attitude of our club captain, someone who i think has a sick sense when I manager is in trouble and realises that he can do bugger all and get away with it.

He was a disgrace during the Mcleish time as he knew no matter how bad he was  and how little effort he put in it was never going to be his fault, as we had our hate figure, I got told by a club official Gabby booked a break in dubai after his sending off, could you imagine how annoyed he was when it was rescinded, who knows if true but I could well believe it. Playing on a Saturday is just a chore for him, being made to work by various assistants in training, well the cheek of it, don't they realise who he is.

Its almost as if Agbonlahor runs the place and calls the shots.

We scored against Leicester at home in the second half. We are still rubbish though.

Eddie was shite at Burnley, I'd give him a wide berth for now. A young manager's reputation could be destroyed at Villa right now

Gabby's performance today was probably the worst I've ever seen from him. Truly abysmal.

So long as he was smiling and joking with people that's all that matters to me.
