Roberto Di Matteo to come in and save us.
I doubt he would leave Schalke and a Champions league game v Real Madrid for us!

Did anyone else think the policing was a bit OTT today ?

I didn't see anything OTT, inside or out of the ground. Are you referring to anything specific?

There was a ruck at a pub in the city centre and 5 Villa fans arrested. Apparently happened at 3.30 so guessing it was ticketless or banned 'lads'. Usually is trouble when we play Leicester hence heavy policing.

Any ideas on what Lambert was writing in his notebook? I think it was a satirical cartoon of a certain religious icon.

That's what I've told Al Jazeera anyway.
What a crass , inopportune comment that is

Apologies.
No worries

On saffron lane pre match a meat wagon opened up and the OB piled out with 4ft wooden sticks , haven't seen that sort of thing since the 80's
Then they were pretty heavy handed in the ground I saw a couple of evictions and one was a woman being turfed out !
Then I noticed them filming the villa fans . Perhaps that's standard practice , perhaps they were looking for someone . Anyway I felt it was a bit OTT

I just don't think there's anyone left at the club capable of making good decisions.  Except maybe Delph.

The only argument I have is we have only lost 4 in 13 games. Three 1 nils and one 2-1. That's not a bad record really...

Of course the major points are we're not creating so not scoring....but who know's if Lerner opens the chequebook and Lambert can get it right in bringing in the right 2 creative players we need then things might change.

I'm just trying to be positive in  before someone slams me.

We're filmed at every away game. CCTV pointed at away fans and hand held cameras by the coppers. Nothing unusual in police doing that.

I wish that the stewards/police had made their way the the back of the stand (I was in NN) and chucked out the bloke behind me who couldn't string five words together without two of them bring "fecking cnut".

I don't mind swearing but it needs to be done with some variations in vocabulary.

The last time I saw that level of fighting among our fans was up the back of the Holte when were on our way down to the 3rd division. Back then though after the coppers hald waded in and gone off with a handful of likely lads we would regroup and sing "If Villa are going down, we'll all go down together".

The ineffably ghastly LernerLambo symbiosis and their absurd and relentless experimentation have reduced us to this abject state. I join the ranks of those who have given up. Life is too short. Roll on the cricket season.

Dress it up how you like. We can't score and we lose a lot more than we win. It's time to go, Mr Lambert.

Really very noticeable again today that Lambert barely got off his arse for the 90 minutes, just sat there, impassively wedged in his faux car seat.

Similar to the end of TSMs time, when he said he couldn't get out of his seat at West Brom because he was blocked in! It's a dead giveaway, he has run out of ideas, he knows he is a dead man walking.
