There is a lot of uncertainty back there and you get the impression that the defenders would love to just whack it long and get rid. As tough as this might be they are being told to stick with it, but in all likelihood the short term affect might cause us some problems.Agreed. Swansea, based on that first half are light years ahead of us. Saying that, we're hardly playing to our strengths. If Lambert wanted to sabotage our attack he could do no more than playing Gabby so deep. We really look lost out there. It reveals how devoid we are of quality in that area that we have employed a forward to do the role of an attacking midfielder. Gabby, love him, doesn't have the required intelligence in the final third. We've seen that a couple of times where his ability to run at the defence has been sorely let down by his final pass or losing the ball at the last minute having done good work prior to it. You're missing the point. We're our own worst enemy by playing him so deep. I don't buy into the stupid cliché of his intelligence, when he ran forward with the ball Benteke managed to reduce his options to zero rather than stretching the defence, opening them up or making himself available for a pass.Benteke must wonder what the hell he's doing there, he's another that we're failing to play to his strengths. It really doesn't have to be this bad.

Doesn't sound like the best of half's. Do something in the second please Villa.
somehow NBC Sports are not showing this game even though they say they provide all live PL games.
I'm not missing any point at all. I'm just not as angry as you.
