West Bromwich Albion v Aston Villa Pre-Match Thread
« on: December 10, 2014, 04:20:05 PM »
The last time we played this fixture at 3pm on a Saturday, Alan Hutton's hand kept us up.

I expect better things this time. 3-1 Villa, with the Albion claiming some sort of moral victory and booing their own manager senseless at the final whistle.

Mods, a poll and a sticky if you please.

Would bloody love a win this weekend, go one the Villa!! Interested to see how people think we'll line-up. Presumabaly the same back 5 as against the Foxes? I would then go with Sanchez, Cleverly (if fit), Richardson, Grealish, Weimann, Benteke. Leave Gabby on the bench to shake things up as they get tired.

I'd play Gabby. He loves derbies.

Defo. It's the midfield I'm worried about, need Cleverly to be fit. If he's not we'll just have to go all out attack.

They are terrified of Gabby. Play him.

As above the midfield concerns me a bit. An area that they aren't too bad in. Hoping Benteke will be the difference

Hopefully Gabby gets a game. As noted he loves a derby.

I think we will lose this one though. No reason other than I don't see each clubs current trajectory holding and they are probably due a win against us.

I do hope their children visit here like they did last year.

I'm going for a 2-1 win Benteke and Gabby scoring.

Not looking forward to this at all - you will beat us.

We are absolutely terrible at the moment.

There is no width, there is no pace within the side, we are pedestrian and we are built primarily to stop the opposition rather than take the game to our opponents.

I'm going for 1-0 Villa with the ball bouncing in off somebody's testicle.

We've never won 3 in a row under Lambert going for a 1-0 or 2-1 loss.

Well if Lambert has broken a few records already this season let's carry on the momentum with a triumphant third win on the bonce for his first time.
2 - 0 villa, Gabby and Sanchez, two assists from Benteke.
