I don't really see the point of signing Cleverley, whose reputation was built-up as an attacking midfielder at Wigan only to be battered by being played out-of-position as one of a defensive two alongside the none-too-athletic Michael Carrick, and then playing him as one of a defensive two with Ashley Westwood, who explicitly says that Michael Carrick is the model for his own style of play. What's the point of that?

So Robinson doesn't even make the bench tonight.  What was the point of recalling him? Better to have left him at Preston unless he was going to actually play some part in the line up.

 Westwood , Cole and Cleverley in midfield?......he hasn't got a clue has he?


 Can't see a win with that team, should have played Sanchez instead of Gabby, and maybe even Bacuna instead of Westwood.
