Sorry only just seen the previous posts about Grealish.  I fear you guys might be right but was just saying what I would do, and I guess what anyone with half a clue would do :'(

I completely agree with you. If we do end up in a backs to the wall scenario which I think is likely, he's the type of player to win free kicks when we get the ball back which helps to take the pressure off the defence and could set up a scoring chance.

Needed to go to the bank this morning. Walking down Bridge Street in Ramsbottom I'm met by half a dozen young lads coming in the opposite direction giving it a derisory, "Villa, Villa..." In Ramsbottom at 11 o'clock in the morning... Sometmes somethings make me proud... at other times...

Burnley 2.2 Villa 3.7 on Betfair so Burnley are string favourites. To paraphrase Ron Saunders, would you bet on us?

Steve Kindon -  of whom they used to say: strength of a shire horse, pace of a racehorse, brains of a rocking horse.

Andy Lochhead to turn out for them in the first half and score the only goal of the half. Second half Andy Lochhead will turn out for us and score the only goal of the half.
So 1-1. Not bad enough to get Lambert out I'm afraid.

Used to love Martin Dobson for them. Memories come flooding back of Brian Flynn, Steve Kindon et al. Didn't Leighton James used to play for them too?

He did

They also had a player called Peter Noble who looked about 50.

They had a decent team in the mid 70's

I recall them beating us 3 nil at home in 73, and an uncle of mine who was visiting at the time teasing me about the result. My 8 year self started crying with all the teasing and I ran up stairs. Funny what you remember. In the mid 80's That same Uncle used to have a yellow top of the range Triumph Dolomite which he promised to me. He then died and I didn't get the car! Gutted

Let's face it Cole can hardly be any less effective than N'Zogbia.
