1 shot on target at home. Until our shots on target improve it is going to be continual struggle to win games.

25311 - when was the last time we had a crowd that low for a league game?

If that's the amount of tickets sold it's awful. It means there may have been even less in there.

Wow, under Gregory.  I'm surprised it isn't actually longer, I seem to remember the crowds being decent then.

Small positives were Okore looked decent, but then why didn't we play him earlier. Also Gabby was ok in first half. Major issue is we play the same match every game. We try and pinch a goal and then cling on for grim death whilst gifting the opposition the ball. He has to go.

We had a lot of sub 30K in 99/00. The lowest was 23,885 against Sheff Wed, a Sat 3pm game as well.

One thing that I'm quite happy about tonight is that I didn't notice the lack of Delph or Vlaar. Don't get me wrong, they're two of our best players, but I don't think we played that much worse without them. I think we have the resources and players with not a little talent. I'll go to my grave maintaining Lambert is not the man who'll get the most out of them though.

A decent result on paper but our lack of attacking threat will cost us points all season which is why we won't finish above 15th.

Im sure we had 23k odd against Sheffield Wednesday in 1999 when Dion had his neck injury.

I reckon there was sub 24k actually in the ground and 1500 of them were saints fans .
So about 22,500 villa fans .

We can't rely on keeper howlers every game.

Hutton and Cissokho continually coming up against 2-3 opposition players on the wing, with absolutely no support is becoming an all too regular sight. If they don't go back to a CH or the keeper their only option is to try a deep cross which most CH's will eat up for breakfast.

Maybe Lambert is hoping to get some money for him in January. I guess it backfired.
