Same old shit with the sitting back after having a lead. A point's a point though, especially against Southampton.

I actually sort of understand the rationale for the Bent substitution - in theory, you get another player to support the counterattack, while Sanchez is a risk for giving up a cheap foul anywhere.

Good point and very good from Hutton Okore and especially clark. Gabby did quite well too

Missed a chance then conceded. Could have been very different. We need to win and gain confidence nothing more, nothing less. Confidence is the key.

There were positives.

Okore, Clark and Hutton for starters. Cleverley battled, Gabby ran his legs off.

Utterly unfathomable substitution though, I'm not saying that was the reason we dropped two points but when we are 1-0 up and parking the tram surely Sanchez or Bacuna or even Grealish buzzing about would be better than putting on the equivalent of a wardrobe up front.

Okore,Clark and Hutton played very well. A point was all we could have hoped for. We got it. But where was Keane?

Better than losing, but no win in 8 games is bollocks.

There were some flashes of promise, but as we have seen time and again from Lambert's Villa that is all they are and it is never built on. We'd still be playing football like this if we had everyone fit as well.

Individual performances might improve here and there - Okore and Clark did well, I thought, for example - but the overall lack of quality is just horrific.

If match after match you have less than 40% of possession and one, maybe two shots on target, you are never going to win many matches.

That is the rut we are stuck in now, and I just can't see any way out of it.
