Unexpectedly one up.  I'm not sure we really deserve to be, but glad we are.  The football is shit.

The atmospheres like one of them under 21 matches
Then again I'm not there so can't critize those that are

N'Zog has to come off. We're winning, it'd be nice if we actually tried for a second. Okore has done decently as well.

He has, and if he continues to have a good game, it'll be interesting to see if he keeps his place when others come back from injury.

Zog off and Grealish on, FFS.

I don't think I can stand much more of his "head down, four paces, lose ball" routine.

Zog's a bit of a liability.
OK other than giving unnecessary free kicks, losing possession every time he has ball when we attach, misplaced passes and incapable of tackling what has he done wrong?

If it worked on Have I Got News....

Would offer considerably more than "Right Old" Charlie N'Z.

Clearly playing for a new contract.

Zog may as well not be on the pitch.

I imagine he's going to stay on it, though, infuriatingly.

That's as poor a half as I can remember seeing from a Villa player, absolutely abysmal performance.

What I like about Zog is that he always attempts to run at defenders and attack. What I don't like about Zog is he's a bit crap at running at defenders and attacking.

I'm sure I'll regret writing this, but I have to say that, just as he did in his brief showings last year, Okore does look pretty comfortable for us at the back - he seems a pretty chilled out player, if you see what I mean, never seemingly in a fluster or a panic, good positioning.

I think that must be written in his contract:

1.1.23 - Must look confused and run forwards until lose ball or run out of play.

I'm going to go and get another beer, and do it in the Zog style.

*gets up*
*walks towards door, head down*
*walks into wall*

*waits ten minutes*

*does it again*

He's probably just relieved that the aliens finished their tests and released him.

The problem is that even though we're winning there's no actual obvious up turn in performance or apparent plan to be better. So even if we say held on to this there is nothing to suggest we could go on a sustained run. I guess that's largely been the issue in Lambert's reign.
