Okore finally, that's made me happy! Shame Grealish isn't playing though.

I'm afraid, very afraid. Okore looked dreadful when he did play in pre-season.
I would love to be wrong.

Did he? I must have been watching different matches then. I thought he was very good.

Probably the best line up we could have gone with, given the circumstances.  Not sure I can see us being steady enough in defence to get anything from the game though.  Here's hoping though, Come on Villa!

I thought he looked excellent and I only missed the ones abroad

Okore and Clark is worrying me. Clark has mistakes in him, Okore probably can't remember how to play football.

In fact, the whole side is just meh! I really hope CNZ and TC create chances tonight, as Gabby and Weimann aren't doing it.

Anyone know where the London Lions meet up to watch games down here in the smoke?

Them:

Forster, Clyne, Fonte, Alderweireld, Bertrand, Wanyama, Schneiderlin, Tadic, Mane, Long, Pelle

I'm guessing the Sanchez/Cleverley/Westwood is to flood the midfield a bit. There can't be many central pairs much stronger physically then Wanyama and Schneiderlin, so I'm guessing the extra body to to help with that.

Their front four looks very strong. If it were Shane Long against anybody else then it wouldn't look quite so good, but as it's Shane Long against us...

That's a good team
And let's face it, put Lambert in charge of it and they'd be where we are now.  I really think our squad is capable of anything from 6th to 10th in what's quite a poor league, put Lambert in charge and its 16th to 20th.

With only a little bit of hyperbole, "Almight God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has given you the new birth of water and the Spirit and has forgiven you all your sins, strengthen you with His grace to life everlasting. Amen."

Snowing and blowing a gale here which stopped me going off to the Pub to watch the Game. Now I have to put up with Robbie Earl and Mustoe.
At least we are bound to win though ;-o

He was pretty ropey against Parma iirc. Took a lot of unnecessary risks that he was lucky to get away with at times, and gave possession away quite a bit. In fairness I just put it down to him getting back up to speed after so long out.

Fair enough, I didn't notice it and I was excited to see him back.

We need Okore to be good, because we need a bit of hope. At the minute everything is terrible.

If we want a silver lining, I wouldn't swap much on their bench for ours:

Subs: Bacuna, Cole, Richardson, Bent, Given, Lowton, Grealish.
Subs: Kelvin Davis, Yoshida, Gardos, Cork, Mayuka, Reed, Targett.
