The gabby statue on the pitch has been a nice touch by Randy this season

... I think we may be astounded and produce a battling 1-1 draw coming from behind ,here's hoping!

•Villa have lost all five games in which their opponents have scored first this season.
•Saints are the only Premier League side not to drop points from a winning position in 2014-15, winning all eight matches in which they have led.

So Lambert's century of games in charge in front of a half empty stadium and he says he is looking forward to chalking up his double century.... 0-3 reverse force tonight unfortunately. A 0-0 will be celebrated like a winner methinks.

Is it that stonewalled, absolutely nailed on that we're going to lose, that we might actually win? Is it? It might just...

...it probably won't. We're probably going to lose.

But I wouldn't mind if we had one of those bat-shit crazy victories against the odds. 2% of the ball, 2 shots on target and get pelted with shots our end all game, and we'll win 3-2 (with an own goal thrown in to grab the winner in injury time).
I'd take it though.

Is Okore seriously not even on the bench tonight?! That can't be true

Sorry if it has been mentioned before but if Okore is not on the bench tomorrow you can take it that he is the founder member of Bomb Squad 2.

Three nil defeat I am afraid.

I saw the Lambert pre match interview, and thought the same, he was asked about Okore, and just said we will see, no positives, no upbeat comments. He doesn't want him at all. Okore must have done something to piss him off.

David Armstrong to bag a late winner for Saints.

The only person in our office whose a football fan supports Southampton, he's a Kiwi whose wife s from there and he goes when he visits her family.

His loving it right now, they've only conceded 5 goals all season, which is remarkable especially when you consider we've only scored 5.  Every stat you look at points to a resounding defeat.

But this is football, not played on a whiteboard, anything can appen, 11 against 11.

Aston Villa 0 - 2 Southampton.

Villa win / draw double chance is 11/10 - odds against, against Southampton at home - how far we have fallen !

I'm worried we'll struggle physically against this lot.

Is that dirty bastard Francis Benali playing?
