Alan Hutton is back for Villa's home clash with Southampton on Monday. The right-back missed the last three matches against QPR, Tottenham and West Ham with an ankle problem. But the reliable defender is available again for the Saints clash. However, centre-halves Philippe Senderos, Ron Vlaar and Nathan Baker are all set to miss out. That leaves Jores Okore and Ciaran Clark as the available players in that position, with Chris Herd also on hand after returning from his loan spell at Bolton.Paul Lambert said: "Alan is fine. He is back fit and has been training this week. He will be fine."We have one or two injuries."Philippe is going to be out. I am not happy with what's happened to him. He only played six minutes for us at West Ham and then goes away with Switzerland and trains a full session and pulls up with his calf."If they'd looked at the situation - he's not played for a month. That's what I am not happy with."I thought it should have been managed better. There should be a protocol. He's just back and was feeling good at the West Ham game."Ron is struggling with his calf injury. It's different from his last one. But he got hurt in the game. You can be a bit more at ease with that."Nathan is certainly struggling as well."It's not great that we have lost three centre-halves. But the lads who play will give us everything they have got."Ciaran played [for Republic of Ireland v USA] and Roy said he did well. Jores is just coming back from an injury. He is ready to play."He was unfortunate with his injury. He came here and started really well and then got his bad injury. But he's ready to go."Chris Herd's back too. He's fit again as well. So you've still got options there."
A much needed 2-1 win. Peter Broadbent and Lionel Martin in front of a huge crowd.
