Monumentally depressing.

If it isn't a chance on the counter attack, there is absolutely nothing to us. We spent most of that half just ambling around in our own half, not having any shape or recognisable intent, nothing.

How much more of this manager are we going to have to endure?

Oh plenty Paulie because we have an owner who doesn't give a shit and who has a history as long as your arm of fucking up sports teams

Now, fat Sam will change things and shake them up.
What are we going to do to change things, or is Lambert more than happy to hang on to a point?

I thought first half the lads were terrific, I couldnae ask any more of them and with a wee bit of luck we should have been coming in 2-0 up.

When Gabby blazed that chance high over the bar and laughed, I thought that was fantastic. Couldn't ask for more. He's come off the back of playing 10 Premier League sides in a row, bang bang bang, it's mentally and physically draining, with a bit of luck it could have been a shot on target.

We are just shocking. No shape or attacking intent, absolutely nothing.

Yet if we manage to keep a clean sheet, or even nick a goal, the manager will no doubt be delighted with it, and the owner - if he's even paying attention to the match - will be similarly elated.

If Lerner kept updated by watching the games he'd be a bit more clued up, as it is getting a weekly match report by ''absolutely fantastic'' Lambert over the phone probably keeps him in his little deluded seminite wonderland across the pond.

I'll be delighted with that as well.

Can't wait for the DVD of this season

No need to fill up an entire DVD, it can be summed up in a 4-frame gif here...

I expect the obvious will happen in the second half. We are simply not capable of sustaining this level of pressure for a full 90 minutes. Chasing the ball is exhausting and we will make mental errors. Downing should have done a lot better with his chance but the defending that led to it was criminal. It is only a matter of time until the door cracks and falls in.

And as we've seen, when we go behind in games it's effectively game over as the counter attack no longer works and we don't have another tactic.

No. Keep him where he's playing well and scoring goals, then review it in January or at the end of the season.

I haven't got the game on, but i have some jack Daniels. I'll knock back a shot for every shot we had on target. What's it to be?

For the 2nd half I'll just go with any old shot, just so i can enjoy myself.

If I was you I'd put the kettle on.
