You go 6 straight defeats with essentially the same system/line up week in week out. At what point do you start to think maybe I need to change things a bit? Isn't that why we have a squad? This reminds me so much of the dog days of MON where despite having options he would keep faith with all of the same players every week despite the blindingly obvious staring him in the face. Then when the wheels fell off he walked because he couldn't get enough support to buy even more subs that would never play.

Crap team, crap squad. Please prove me wrong, Villa. Why on earth Grealish isn't even in the squad I'll never know. All the fuss to tie him down and since then, he's disappeared.
Fuck off Lambert.

Let's hope Villa subdue my negativity.

And this. I completely agree with you CJ.

But, I'm sat here in Tokyo, my girlfriend has just sat down next to me in her Villa shirt(bless her), I've a whiskey soda in hand, and I will at least cheer the Villa on from the safety of my own living room. I can't face going to the pubs now. I have nothing to discuss with fellow football fans. I feel I have nothing positive to say. haha.

What's going to be more painful - this or the rugby?

This is gonna be utter muck to watch with that line up. It's the very line up most would have predicted Lambert would pick. It's so uninspired. Westwood and Cleverley will continue battling for the title of sideways pass master. Gabby will undoubtedly do the square root of cock all and our midfield and attack will look like they've never met. They'll look like they're playing in different time zones.

You can almost see the MOTD post match analysis about the mystical rise of West Ham thanks to future England manager Sam Allardyce, with nary a mention for the dross shower of shite the hammers probably dispatched with ease earlier in the day.

Hopefully I'll be proved wrong, but with that lineup, I doubt it. Gabby will probably take the central role, forcing Andi out wide.

I'm convinced that Jack Grealish is a figment of our combined imaginations.
Please let this be Lambert's last game in charge.

I'm going to gloss a picture rail, skirting board and radiator listening to this on the radio. Keep the razor blades away from me.

This to me smacks of a lineup of a dead man walking. It's not quite McLeish vs Norwich horrendous, but it's just as uninspired and unimaginative.
So many players playing shit. We desperately need to freshen this mess up.

Don't see the point playing both cleverly and Westwood. Lambert needed to try some thing different , like posters are saying, predictable.

I feel we are not being told the truth about Okore and him continually failing to even make the bench. The situation reminds me of when Bent was made team captain and then within a week or so was banished to the wilderness with no explanation

The fucking idiot strikes again. Lerner and this twat will take us down, I am convinced of it. Perhaps that actually will be for the best if it gets rid of these two tossers. At least Johnny May has scored in the rugby

I honestly think Lambert has given up. Why not try something different?

Well there's two points of view there.

Lamberts apparently stems from what he learned in Dortmund, where you don't look back, but believe in what you're doing.
Fine when you're surrounded by world class players, playing in a system that works and coach doing the "dwelling on defeats" for you. Fine when there's plenty of evidence to justify that belief in what you're doing.

The alternative is Einstein's view that to repeatedly do the same thing and expect a sudden change in outcome is a definition pod madness.
