Soldado to be the latest struggling striker who transforms his fortunes against Aston Naive?

He did in the same fixture last year I believe. Was his first goal from open play?

I thought Richardson was doing well, in the team including Senderos and Delph that started the season strongly. No Lambert team selection in memory has ever helped to understand his aims and intentions.

If we don't win today I think we may struggle to qualify for the Champions League.

I'm wondering if Okore pissed off Lambert by going off to play with Denmark before he was proved fit to play with us? I still think his omission is a balance thing with Clark he who is left sided, but it's got me wondering why else is he not worthy of at least a spot on the bench?

Spurs are exactly the kind of meandering meaningless midtable mediocrities we need to be securing maximum points from.

Kozak injured of course but with no Okore on bench that's no signing from last summer near the team..

Something very suspect with Okore's absence.

In the City-United game they were talking about Falcao who did his Cruciate too. They said that it takes about a year before a player can run again and about another year before they are back to their best. We've seen that too, with Delph probably being the best example. So that might be the case with Okore now. I would like to see us get him out on loan if he's not ready for Premier League football.

Any team with N'Zogbia in is the wrong team selection. Hopefully he'll have his annual half decent game otherwise it's ten man Villa again.

Pretty much the side I'd have picked. I know n'zogbia is incredibly frustrating but we're so low on creativity that I think it's worth taking the chance

I presume a sort of 433 or 4231 with cleverley the more advanced of the three?
if we're relying on N'Zog we are in deep doo doo.

He can't do any worse than Gabby has in the majority of games over the last 2 years.
