Any team with CNZ on the teamsheet is a team playing with 10 men. I fail to see what he brings to the table. When he occasionally does get on the ball he heads down blinds alleys like a headless chicken. He neither defends nor attacks, a liability. I know Weimann gets a lot of stick on here but he works his nuts off and is our only natural striker apart from the Beast.

I'm completely fed up, the initial results, they weren't great performances, is as usual papering over the cracks. I just want the team to have a go, every other manager knows how we will play apart from Brendan Rogers for some reason. Make some changes, spring a surprise just do your job Mr Lambert.

The fact that we sell out more or less every away game and our home attendances are what they are speaks volumes.

It's mainly the hardcore diehards who go away though so can't really draw a comparison. I looked at the CiŁy gate - 32k of which 3k plus was CiŁy ! So only 29k villa max. That's a worry.

The attendances have been good in previous seasons even though the teams been bad. I think the fans saw our poor form as temporary and would start to improve soon. Now i think the fans are realising that this is how it's going to be for some time, especially now Lambert's signed on for another four years.

There has been enough investment in this team over the Lambert era to ensure that we should not be continuing to witness these horrible performances.

Lerner has been pretty useless and his incompetence is really demonstrated by giving this idiot Lambert a 4 year contract.

Hindsight is a beautiful thing though
I can't remember the 'next manager poll' whether it was after MON or Houllier but there were 3 votes for the then Wigan manager, I was one of them so there's two more on here somewhere

Evidently his teams only start playing in March and he wasn't going to be up to the Villa job if I remember correctly

Got to agree about the comments on N'Zogbia. He's so ineffective, he's not worth a starting place at all.

Unfortunately it just looks more and more like he's a busted flush. He's always been inconsistent but at his best could turn a game. I'm not sure he's got it in him any more, not least any of the desire to.
The sooner we can get him and Bent off the wages, the better.

I personally think Bent could still do a job. Maybe not to the extent he did, but he knows where the net is and good strikers don't lose that.

What we desperately need is a good performance against QPR (even if we lose) to give our fans a bit of hope for the immediate future.
