Why do so many managers say that some debateable incident was the turning point of the match? There was nothing to suggest had Benteke's goal stood that Eeveton would take a leaf out of our book. They may have been in middling form but they strode to victory today. The turning point was the kick-off, after which Villa turned into a negative, flaccid sack of nothing.
"we go again to try and get things going again"Vintage Lambert speak right there.

Speaking to Skysports, Lambert felt they were unlucky to have a goal disallowed at a crucial time.'We got off to a bad start, but I felt we really took the game to Everton after their first goal, we had chances to equalise and Alan Hutton was unlucky with his effort. The Half Time whistle came at the wrong time as we were well on top. Then we got caught cold after the break with their second. I think the main turning point was Christian's disallowed goal, I thought the decision to award a foul was very harsh. You get that one and you're back to 2-1 and who knows. Their third comes when we are chasing the game. I cannot fault the effort of the lads, we have been excellent in the first few games. We have another game next week and we go again to try and get things going again.'Fucking hell this bloke is truly deluded - we havnt got a prayer surviving this season with this chump in charge

I had allowed myself to hope and dream of better times after those early games which was a big mistake.
Yes , get well soon mr underhill. I watched Citeh Spuds in the early game on BT Sport. It was a cracker of a game and I found myself thinking the unthinkable, why the f*ck to I support Aston Villa? 69 years unbroken following them home and away and I find myself getting very close to saying enough is enough. At the start of the season I was called a "Lambert hater" in these pages for saying I thought the good start could be another false dawn. I don't hate him, I just think he is useless. A useless manager with a brand new four year contract. That is the main reason why I wish I followed some other smarter outfit.
