Remember straining to listen to it in my parents room on their crappy clock-radio, with shit reception on 909 MW. And my grandparents telling me later how happy they were to see Houghton stick the only goal of the game past Pagliuca for the second time in 3 months.

Ah a Great Night - Villa Park absolutely rocked.

Another of those in the rebuilt Upper part of the Witton Road stand.

I was rather vociferous in my youth and like to think I contributed positively to the atmosphere screaming support and consistently berating Rueben Sosa all night by alluding that he didn't always play by the rules.

One those very few matches that even a couple of my Noses friends were actually pleased we won due to the way we played and for the 'Wall of Noise' created as Sir PurpleNose called it.

Great memory and BFR's last hurragh - league form was utterly abysmal and was there a few weeks later when we surrendered to Trabzponspor.

I remember Phil King saying he was totally knackered after 90 minutes plus extra time so he just stood there with his arms in the air.

I have very fond memories of going to this match in my younger days.

Due to the Holte being rebuilt I was in the lower trinity that night and the whole ground was rocking!

I was there and nothing can beat that feeling but in watching the full game on vhs the next day it must have been an amazing  experience to watch it on the box as a neutral, the commentator was making it feel like the entire English footballing world was behind us that night.
