I watched the second half again yesterday, and our throw ins were atrocious. The usual lack of movement and nearly every single one went straight to a Liverpool player. Of course they did next to nothing with the possession, but I hope we work on it before Arsenal and Chelsea. We stand a better chance of keeping this lovely run going if we don't make things unnecessarily hard for ourselves.

throw ins are one of my bugbears...

when I was playing we were told that if there was no one open infield to receive the ball onto the pitch that we would close up down the line which I would then deliver it high and long and if the defender beat our man in the air we would progress down the line as they headed the ball out.

Liverpool without Suarez can only be summed up as toothless

I reckon we should ditch "Prepared" and rotate the slogan weekly, every week one of these gets chosen at random:

"Shit at throw-ins"
"No movement off the ball" (or whatever it is in latin)
"Weird floaty corners"
"If only we were that good at home"

For t-shirts, I'd go with a rip-off of "WWJD?" and use "WDBTTP?"

Standard text book instructions for kids learning the game in my day. One way of working your way down the pitch away from the danger area. Does my head in watching us.

Just read the RAWK post match thread. It is quite funny.

Some are saying we deserved to win but the excuses from those who don't agree are shocking.

Apparently we kick the shit out of them every season, should have had 2 sent off, didn't because the referee and Premier League have it in for them, parked the bus like we do every season (even though we have scored five there in our last two visits), they only had 3 first team regulars playing because their new signings don't count, had a host of injuries (neatly missing that our first choice strikers and centre halves were out) and, marvellously, bemoaned the lack of experience in their team versus our gnarled, streetwise outfit.

Nothing in football is as amusing as Liverpool supporters who believe the media and authorities have it in for them. They don't just say it - they truly believe it.

You've got to laugh, I think they had 5 starters on Saturday that cost more individually than our whole team, with 2 just shy of it.

Shame on us for defending.

Don't you know it is every football clubs duty to go to Anfield and  take a pasting.

Admire the wit, humour and passion of the best supporters in the world and be grateful for the condescending and patronising comments after the game.

It used to be like that.

The whole psyche of that city is one of being a victim. Stems back decades.

That's not what I've found, and most of the idiots Dave's referring to will be from the home counties.

With good reason very often, and it's not their proper supporters who are the worst culprits in this case. Which leads me onto something else I've often wondered. Why do we call Manchester United supporters Cockneys/from Surrey and the rest of it, and Liverpool Scousers when they have more out of towners than anyone?
