Was that even 5 minutes of highlights?

However, I guess that they edit in favour of the winning team and that was probably all Villa's attacks

I think abolishing a "bomb squad" has to be good for the players as a collective. Psychologically I'd say it's an awful idea to see colleagues , possibly mates castigated by the management. No idea who's idea it was , perhaps the 2 sacked bully's

I didn't realise that Phil had actually kicked/tripped Mario. From where I was by the corner flag I thought that he'd just fallen over

Aston Villa. You are a lovely thing at times. Today was exceptional.

Something very fundamental has changed at our club in the last 3 months.  Its soul has returned.

We are starting to mean something again.

I have hope again. I haven't had that for 3 years.

You Lions!!!

I think Hutton hinted it was Lerners idea in his interview after either the Stoke or Newcastle match

The centre backs never were the issue,

I think that is correct.

I'm not sure on that, there were some pretty diabolical individual performances by the centre halves as well.
Not to my knowledge. The pressure was largely down the flanks and that exposes the CB's to breaking point.

Yep. Spot on.

I can't think of a single thing that happened in the match that they should have shown but didn't.

Half of the match was Liverpool's centre-backs passing it back and forth - and that doesn't make great television.

Don't get me wrong, our full backs and also the protection of the defence by the midfield last season were awful most of the time. However let's not be too revisionist, our centre halves and in particular Baker made some appalling errors too. This season though it's started well and long may it continue.

Just Baker's sliding block near the end, I think that merited showing.

May as well stick it here as well. I love how we look a team again, and also how much the players enjoy winning.
