From the Beeb:

Aston Villa 1-0 Hull

Villa look full of running, getting in behind the defence at will. Gabriel Agbonlahor gets round the back but his low cross is well dealt with this time. Hull need to hang on in there.

I'm not saying we'll do this every game now, but what's really encouraging is that this isn't just a couple of guys playing well, though they are - the movement and teamwork is great. That's not been the case since the end of his first season.

It's really quite strange what happened last season for the majority. Early days yet too, mind.

A lot of players seem to be slipping over.

The joy of NZog is he wants to be positive. So does Richardson, which means we try and get on the front foot.

A decent centre forward and a good wideman would really push this side on now.

I dont know jim, think Nzogbia and Rico have been utterly useless so far. Gabby and Weimann doing well

as a winger what really let's him down is his first touch. It is awful, and because of that does not allow him the room he needs to run at defenders and hit spaces with his pace.

Who would have thought it? I certainly thought during McLeish's time he was shit.

Weimann has passed ok, but lacks pace and guile so gets caught in possession too much out wide for me.

Can't agree on Richardson, he has won 3-4 tackles and looked nimble and got his head up.

Modern technology, eh? I subscribe to The Times and they have sent me a video clip of Gabby's goal! Very kind of them. And very good of Gabby to make me so happy.

(Sterling's goal too for Liverpool - very good move)
