Sort of like Cleverley for me in the sense that I have no idea what their position is. Not talented enough to be an attacking midfielder and not strong or disciplined enough to be a holding defensive midfielder. Always tried his best though so best of luck KEA

Has he definitely gone or just speculation?

Unfortunately lacked the skill or physicality to play central midfield in the Premier League but a relatively low cost gamble that didn't pay off.

As many others have already said, whilst he had a good work rate and was useful away from home at times in pressing the play, he lacked physical presence and gave away so many soft fouls.  We won't miss him.

Can't find any links to this at all.

I could never get KEA to predictive text so for that alone I'm glad he's gone.

Hopefully we're confident of getting in Cleverley then as we've also let Gary Gardner go out on loan too.
As for Karim. Destined to be a forgotten man. One of those pointless answers in a Villa themed episode of pointless (should that ever happen outside of one of my cheese dreams).
Not a very good player, but neither that horrific that he'll be remembered the same way as Djemba x2, nor did he incite a level of bafflement or hate that players like Curcic or Ireland persay.

Good luck to him. He's back to his level. A punt that never came off. Looked quite classy in pre-season games, but come the blood and thunder of the Prem, he just disappeared more often than not.

I thought he was a very basic 'footballer', as in he played the game but you couldn't really say what he actually did.

There was a photo of him outside De Kuip on Twitter today. I'm bemused as to how a player as "meh" as El Ahmadi got to call Villa Park and De Kuip home for a large part of his career.

Karim, Bennett, tonev, bowery, luna, helenius, sylla all Lambert buys no longer there. People blame Lerner when he wasted so much money. And yet Lerner gives him more!!

When you are bringing in so many players with relatively (for the number of players) little money to do it, you are going to get more failures than successes.  I think where it all went wrong was not being able to sell Bent, Ireland, Hutton, Given and N'Zogbia when Lambert first arrived.  If he had, more money per player would possibly have been spent with the probability of getting higher calibre players.
