Not good enough with any regularity in this league.

Best of luck to him though.

Key point I think.  Would have been OK as a squad player who came in for the odd game, but not as a regular starter.  Wish him good luck with his the rest of his career.

Leaves us very short in midfield though with him gone and Gardner out on loan.

We have already signed 3 to play in midfield (Sanchez, Richardson & Cole) so I don't think numbers is going to be the issue.

46 appearances, 3 goals scored.

Which is basically prolific for a Villa central midfielder over the last 10 years.

Decent player, would have preferred him to stay in the squad in case of injuries but I wish him well.

Like Brian I'm not going to be a hypocrite now he's left, he couldn't cope with the pace of the game, when we came up against sides who were more patient he had the technique to have an impact but as soon as there was any pace in the game he became a passenger.  Always willing to work hard and always came across as a good guy but he was never going to make it as a premier league player, good luck to him in a league where he's much better suited though.

He looked the worst player at times in team that contained Nathan Baker.

That shit's not good.

Any word of a fee?
700,000. Not sure if that's pounds or euro.
Euro's apparently

Around £2m supposedly. Probably a bit less.

Bye KEA, I always rated you and appreciated your play.

I never figured out how to spell your name right though.

He wasn't bad. He just wasn't very good either. I wish him all the best but hope that we end up with better players competing for his position.

KEA.

He was excellent in certain games (Arsenal and Liverpool away) last season which showed that he could be used well when tactics permitted but overall, never showed enough to suggest he could be a regular performer and play at a high enough standard.

Can't say i am sorry to see him go,as like a lot of Lambert signings he just was not good enough for the Premier. He always gave his best when i saw him play,so best of luck to him

He was OK but to improve we've got to move on some of our OK players and get better ones in. Think that's what Lambert's doing. Best of luck Karim.
