The biggest problem is that it is so frustrating.

Proven useless manager who is untouchable whilst the chairman - who won't spend - tries his best to get rid of a club he stopped giving too much of a toss about ages ago.

In terms of a "retreat", I suspect this is going to be long, messy and more than a bit depressing.

This record against lower leagues opposition is just too consistent to be a coincidence - Sheffield United, Milwall, Bradford, Orient. Too much evidence that he's tactically without a brain.

Bacuna is another overrated waste of space.
I am afraid I must agree with you. He was total garbage tonight.

One free kick against man city apart - he's been absolute gash .

Another one of the football geniuses signings ......

Shall we try a tabloid headline for tomorrow?

'Sir Vincealot'. No thought not.

We look like a former middleweight boxing champion, punch drunk and getting KOd by smaller hungrier fighters

My only note of optimism is that in twenty years time, we'll be looking back at the Lambert era and asking ourselves what the fuck happened. Of course, we could be in the Blue Square North by then, but hey...

And the other 4 goals he scored.

Is Joe Cole making an early punt to be the slowest ever Villa player?

He was abject.

Caught a bit of his post match mumblings on the way back. Apparently we put out a strong side and created enough chances to win two matches (maybe he meant Swan Vestas). I think "we created enough chances to win two matches" is this season's "we go again"

Seen it all before, too many times. It'll happen again in January. We never learn.

I can't believe anyone really expected anything out of that signing?

It's early days, but really, he's absolutely past it, and if we rely even slightly on him to create things for us, then we're screwed.

He was  terrible. Fat, unfit and out of his depth against third division players. With him and Bent in the team you could say we played most of the game with 9 men.

We were poor, never looked like scoring.

Awful (again)

My west ham ST contacts warned me he can only last about 15 mins . His legs are totally shot.
