44% possession at home. Not great.
Means nothing
No, means nothing. Putting the ball in the net and keeping it out of yours is the game, not passing along the back four and into midfield for 90 minutes. 1 break takes seconds and BOOM....goal.

Keep your stats

Doesn't really though does it. If we've got the ball we are more likely to score and they are less likely.

True, but we look much more solid than last year, which is more important. We're not seeing mass panic in the defence every 10 minutes now.

Great bit of play from Hutton.

This is not a double post.

Three things:

1) Our kit is crap. Makes us look like West Ham.
2) Hutton is playing well for us, which is something I never thought I'd say.
3) Will the Newcastle fans forgive us now after our 17th minute gesture?

OK, but common sense says teams who have the ball more tend to score more goals. Counter attacking is fine but it isn't the only way to play the game.

44% possession was positively outstanding for us at times last season.

That Alan Hutton chap looks like a really good full back.  Did we just sign him?

Nzogbia, Hutton, Westwood, Cissokho, Vlaar and Senderos have all looked decent. Delph looks ok. Gabby and Weimann look in truth pretty poor at the moment.

Sign a wide forward please before the window shuts Lambert!

Grealish and Bent could have a big say in this game.

Quite impressed with the work Richardson has got through too. We are a strange team now, we look totally different to the jittery side of much of the last couple of seasons.

Can't wait to see the beast in this side.

Senderos reminds me a lot of Collins.
