Defensively we have looked pretty good.

Although does anyone else find themselves so habituated to colossal fuck ups in the centre of defence that their body is giving them hints to expect one?

Answer: Yes

In fairness had that been to Kozak or Benteke it's a goal

Or Bent. Or even Weimann. Or Shay Given. Gabby in front of goal is like a cannon sat on a spinning chair.

Brilliant that is

Once again, there's no plan when we have the ball, no real ideas. It's all on-the-hoof, in many ways.

On the plus side Aly's looking decent. Early days I know, but he's not the plodder pool fans would have you believe.

I think he was thrown in after an injury and didn't adapt fast enough. It's a club that has churned through defenders and are still after spending the GDP of a small nation shit defensively.

Yes jst waiting for it. Expected it when that monumental wankstain Ireland got in behind us but his delivery was his usual casual maner and we got away with it. You just knew had Baker been playing he'd have crashed the ball in tothe ack of he net for a spectacular own goal.

Have to agree.

Solid at the back, no idea what to do when we have the chance to move forward.

Birtles really is a miserable bastard.

I've actually always though he's got a soft spot for us in his previous commentaries.

It's not that he's being hard on either team, he just can't shut the fuck up and stop moaning about things, "i can't understand why blah blah" "why oh why yadayadayada" every few minutes.
