Just saw this on twitter, not nice to see but the driver that was killed was wearing black in a dimly lit track and walked into traffic.

Is the "ummm, oops!" really an appropriate way to start a thread about a man who has died?

Tony Stewart is a famous Nascar driver, so all the media focus is on him rather than the poor sod who died (albeit naively).

It will be interesting to see if he faces any kind of charges.

Not a sport I follow but read about this earlier. Seems some suggestions it wasn't a 100% accident. I don't think Stewart saying he is going to race (today or tomorrow iirc) helps.

See my other post posted at the same time you said this.   I'm not trivialising it, this is a tragedy.  However, maybe standing in the middle of a racetrack to wag your finger at someone while a race is going on is not the smartest move ever.  I would certainly like to think there was no intent on the part of Stewart.

It was Stewart who Ward was wagging his finger at right? What had he done to piss him off?
Tragic anyway.

They had a coming together on the previous lap which put Ward out of the race.  You can view it on youtube, if you wish.
