Tottenham, Tottenham Reserves and Tottenham youth teams.

Hate is an irrational word when it comes to football, but I reserve the right to use it when it applies to Tottenham.

in all my travels I have never come across a decent Coventry fan, they all seem to hate us with different degrees of hate, one lad bordering on some serious violence when he found out I supported the Villa, and some of their following spat on me and my mate as we left the delightful Highfield Rd after Garry Thompson scored back in the day.

Living down here in Cambridge the delusional Spurs and the delightful supporters of Chelsea are certainly on my list as clubs I would like to see plummet down the divisions.

Tottenham would be a good call. I don't hate them, but I don't like why such an irrelvant club as far as I am concerned is blasted all over the sports media courtesy of having a London post-code.

The phrase "delusions of grandeur" was invented to describe Spurs supporters.

Boro were a strange one. We always seemed to beat them comfortably up there yet they'd never lose at VP.

Anway annoyed me when they used to nick our best players and I think they're a bit of a non-descript club.

Really?  I remember quite a few VP wins against Boro, including a 5-1 in 93 which the first time I saw Villa, a 3-1 near the start of 98/99, and a 1-0 I attended also in the late 90s.

Am surprised at all the Coventry mentions.  Always, thought the hate was more on their part.

Newcastle is a classic case, unlike Chelsea they remain a boogy team to this day.   Seem to thrash us a lot at their place, and noramlly get at least a draw at ours, sometimes more.  Whats really annoying is that since the Sir Bobby days often we have been as good, or better then them.

We have awful home records against both Liverpool and Arsenal.  I think we have not beat either at Villa Park since the 90s?  Would like to see that end this season.

03-04- Villa 0-2 Boro
04- 05- Villa 2-0 Boros
05-06- Villa 2-3 Boro
06-07- Villa 1-1 Boro
07-08- Villa 1-1 Boro
08-09- Villa 1-2 Boro

1 defeat in their last 6 trips, funny thing is we won 4 times at the Riverside in the same period.

Newcastle, Liverpool, WBA, Man U, Spurs... my list of hated clubs goes on quite a bit! I think it's primarily the fans that cause it, but sometimes jealously I suppose.

I don't like them either but at least they're nowadays usually near the top of the league.

Now if you want a London club that gets way overpromoted in the press when compared to their achievements, West Ham are miles infront in that regard.

Kinda of get the Spurs one, but I do think Newcastle fans are worse.   At least Tottehham have had some recent glory to back up their claims, and seem to banging on the CL doors most season now at least.

A bit like our record against Wigan.

Ever since we relegated them Newcastle have had a real bee in their bonnet about us, as if their defeat at Villa Park was the only thing that contributed to them going down and as if no other team's fans would have taken the proverbial on that final day. They really need to get over themselves.

I've an irrational dislike of Manchester City which pre-dates their lottery win.  It goes back to the late sixties to mid-seventies.  They had the likes Asa Hartford, Bell, Sumerbee, Lee and a fuckin yokel called Tony Book who was older than Methuselah when they bought him from Swindon.

During this period there was a media wankfest about them that was nauseating.  Colin Bell, they inferred was the best player ever, Sumerbee was on a par with Stanley Matthews and City were going to rule the first division for years to come.  They sank faster than the Titanic.

Oh, they had Malcolm Allison too.  That in itself was enough.

City when they were balancing from from Prem to Championship were one of our boggy clubs too.  Even if they are doing it the wrong way.  I can't really begrudge their fans the success they are enjoying now, they have suffered more than most over the years and have stuck by their team all the way.  And it is good see a role reversal with them and Utd, as long as City don't do this for twenty years like their neighbours then I don't mind.

Yep, it's West Ham for me. I really enjoy watching them struggle.

Ipswich. I remember going there a few months after the pub bombings and the twats started singing "There was a tavern in the town" and "Here we go round the Mulberry Bush."
SHA,Coventry,SHA, Leeds,SHA, Millwall oh and SHA.

It always annoyed me in '81 when the media were all over Ipswich and we pi**ed on their party.

Apparently we only won the title because they were playing a lot of FA Cup and European games on top of their league schedule. Apparently they were a better team than us. Which is an interesting opinion considering in the following two years we went on to win the European Cup and European Super Cup and they won bugger all.

My prediction for this time next year - Leicester.

Utterly despise Chelsea, Man U and any club at the given time who are associated with Harry 'I can't read or write, honest' Redknapp.

Small Heath - a decreptic bunch of hatefilled jealous Neanderthals. Cov - their equally ugly though more irrelevant cousin. They stand up because they hate the Villa, you know.

Newcastle don't like us because we rubbed their nose in it when they got relegated. Apparently the Vera Lynn song didn't go down too well.

Honourable mentions to Cardiff & Wolves - like the Knuckle Draggers above but less legibile
