Only Redmond and Lingaard look to be worth the air fare.

I've watched all England's games in this tournament and Redmond has been gash in all of them. He's a very poor man's Raheem Sterling.

Agree on Redmond, gash. The only player who looked like he could potentially step up was Jenkinson. The rest of them were awful. I bet Harry Kane wishes he'd fecked off to Ibiza instead.

usual England malaise at tournaments. Players not nearly as good as their hype. The Swedish lad was right. This lot look lop sided because the manager is determined to pick Kane and needs to pick Ings as well because Kane has been ineffective. We are undermanned in midfield, and Chalobah/LoftusCheek are not as good as their opposite numbers.

Only Redmond and Lingaard look to be worth the air fare.

Is Loftus-Cheek a QPR fan who changed his name in protest at their ticket prices?

I'd prefer U19 to be the main age group level and then bring back B Internationals

Its already clear that most of the U21s aren't going to be good enough for full internationals and those that are either aren't there (Sterling, Shaw) or shouldn't be there (Kane).

I'd rather see those on the fringe of the full squad (regardless of age) in a proper 'B' tournament

Anyone got any idea why Carlos Sanchez didn't play last night for Colombia? I can't find anything on the net.

His booking in the final group game was his second of the tournament so I'm assuming he had a one game ban.

Australia v Japan. Japanese giving an organisational masterclass lesson and wearing down Aussies for a second half thrashing no doubt!

Japan women play the game beautifully. Their play and passes is immense. Class apart. The beauty of footy ,at times , that japan are clearly far  superior but Australia fighting spirit and counter attack keeps game interesting. However japan are like arsenal and barca and Spain in men's game fully applad the way they play and their attitude. Some of the passing sublime.

Unfortunately I found England women on whole pretty dull and an upgraded version of Australian team - hussle and bustle.
I do wish the male commentator acknowledged the play of japan both with defensive tackles and great passing and creating.

Same with the half time  studio commentating talking about Australia when  it's been japan with the stand out chances . Strange all about Australia perspective when should be talking about world champions japan feel they are quite dismissive of the champions and because Australia linked more to England.

Canada will equalise and then win on penalties.

Speaking of which, Paraguay have beaten Brazil on penalties.
