Just  switched on the France v Belgium game at the moment Benteke was being replaced by Lukaku on 60 minutes. Belgium 4-1 up but CB not among the goal scorers.

I am ashamed to admit I was half hoping to see him pick up an injury for the summer. I am not proud of myself.

Watching Germany v Ivory Coast ladies. Germans leading 4-0 after 30 minutes just as efficient and ruthless as their male counterparts.

I saw the first few goals. They looked significantly better and more technically skilled than the England/Ireland mens teams :)

lol never mind.

I switched that on but She-who-must-be-obeyed overruled because she wanted to see the Bone Collector with Denzel and Angelina.

Norway/Thailand in the women's world cup is good game so far. Kind of hoping Thailand can pull one back.

Sounds like they needed Little Britain's Ting Tong to ping pong a few in.

Friday night I had Hungary, Holland, Scotland and Chile to win. Holland let me down by losing 3-4. Today I had an acca on all six games. Argentina, Russia, Serbia, Brazil to win and draws in the Ireland/England and France/Belgium games. The France/Belgium game let me down for a right few quid. The score?
3-4 again.

Last night I went to see DC United v Toronto FC.

Luke Moore started for TFC (he was replaced late on by Jose Altidore). However I didn't get to see former Aston Villa legend Michael Bradley because he's in Europe with the U.S. National team.

It was an entertaining game, won 2-1 by TFC. I let out a stifled cheer when TFC scored their winner

Went the to the Fifa Under 20's yesterday to see the Germans beat Honduras 5-1 and Brazil beat North Korea 3-0. I wasn't overly impressed by Brazil in the first half, but they improved in the second half.
Now the knock out games start - Last 16 starts on Wednesday. Unfortunately I'm out of town on Thursday so will miss Germany v Nigeria, but I'm back for the quarter final on Sunday.

I've been very impressed with the tournament so far and there have been some great games.

it was easy to see why he's the highest paid player in MLS. he's too good for this league and at 28 is still at the peak of his career.

Most teams can only dream of having a squad so strong they can take off Luke Moore and replace him with Jozy Altidore.

With Jay Spearing pulling the strings in midfield you've got footyskillz dream team there.
