Bob Mortimer is a Boro supporter and I really like him.
Stephen Fry is a Norwich supporter and I really cannot stand him.

I am the opposite on those two. What was that recent Reeves and Mortimer sitcom? It was horrible. Fry, on the other hand, made a few very decent documentaries about AIDS, bipolar disorder and the USA.

You see I wouldn't know about that because I don't watch anything he does.

Fair play to Norwich they've deserved it.

Whenever I think of Norwich I think of a midweek match in the 90's when they beat us with a late goal and as we were leaving on the coaches there were loads of snotty little kids running alongside taunting us. Despite the fact I got a tooth broken coming out of Ayresome Park and I hate the town it's got to be Boro for me.

Those 'kids' will be in their thirties now and no doubt excited about the occasion so fuck 'em!

That Norwich game was a  "title decider" in 1993 I think. Garry Parker missed an open goal.

I'd prefer Norwich, as I can have a weekend on the coast and go to the game.

You could do that at Middlesbrough.

yes and come out of the water sporting a fin you just grew

It is but its motorway.
Driving to Norwich and back from Brum is not pleasant.

funnily enough, I've just finished reading the very first Inspector  George Gently novel, the plot dénouement of which, heavily features Norwich City.

Shame about 'Boro. Always liked them, and the trip to the Riverside has been good to us.

Stephen Fry is a living legend. Bob Mortimer is one half of an unfunny double act.
