I reckon this agent may be ... just may be ... a smeg sandwich. I'd love to see someone turn down £900k a week. How principled.

I'd love Liverpool to refuse to sell sterling and leave him in the reserves earning his current 30k a week.
He has 2-years left on that deal and I think Liverpool would be within their rights to use that negotiation tactic if Sterling's agent is going to behave like that.

Of course it won't happen.

Not sure if this has been posted before..........yep, I think that's a sending off offence

Our players should be allowed to react like this to every decision Phil Dowd makes!
;-)
Or Clattenberg v Everton a few weeks ago...should have been compulsory!

Steven Gerrard's last game at Stoke for Lfc Sunday, not much been said about it which is a bit disrespectful in my opinion

Amazing. There's a pretty extreme shortage of self-awareness which people connected to that club can show sometimes.

The other funny Liverpool news is that Gary Neville described the city as 'emotional' in his column about Raheem Sterling, which Liverpudlians disproved by immediately losing all of their shit at him on Twitter. It's quite funny when they're upset.

They should make the entire population of the Potteries change their name by deed poll to Gerrard for the day, out of respect for the greatest footballer to ever grace the game of football.

To be honest I'd assumed he was saying that tongue in cheek. If he wasn't though......

That's what I though afterwards, but you never know.

Excellent, Gary Neville moves ever upwards in my estimation. Have just watched Class of 92 in which he also came across very well, as indeed all those young players did from that generation. They seem a really nice, and modest, bunch given what they achieved. I found it very easy to like them in the film despite who they played for

Can you imagine all of those high pitched voices and gesticulations at the television agreeing with Carragher. Candles at the ready, songs being written in protest at the outrage. They'll be having sit ins and hunger strikes when he finally leaves.

Indeed

Also, if there's one thing I hate about coverage of football, it is half-witted players or former players using the word "disrespect" all the fecking time.

At the semi final, we had a Liverpool fan in front of us. When they played YNWA, it was totally drowned out by our fans. At which point, Liverpool fan got all arsey and started loudly gobbing off about "show some respect".

It's a fucking song associated with someone else's football team, you ******.

I've got nothing but "disrespect" for Gerrard, the violent, cheating piece of shit.

Good riddance.

Re Sterling.

IIRC, he was treated differently from the rest of the squad around Christmas, sent on holiday while everyone else was yomping through the sleet at Melwood (he tweeted a photo of himself as well).

So now he has a rather high opinion of himself. I wonder what gave him that idea?
