We've dropped a place on GD. A result of our stupidity last weekend. Hopefully we can climb above Sunderland by beating Burnley. I can't see them getting anything at Chelsea. Places are worth about £1M each in merit money.

Delighted for Sunderland as I've got a few Mackem mates. If I were a Geordie I'd be shitting it now. Great

Well done Blunderland, they won't keep getting away with it though.

Hopefully beat Burnley on Sunday to creep up a couple of places. I hope the barcodes go down!

Yeah it's £1.2m a place. More than i thought. Bit shit how the more you get shown the more money you get. 750k a game, obviously the big guns will get a few mil more (particularly united).

It's pretty equitable compared to some countries.

Yeah you're right. I can't believe how Real and Barca have gotten away with it for so long. I don't know anything about what the new deal in Spain means though. I don't actually know why they are striking, what's the beef?

How sweet for fat Sam if he was to help relegate the club that sacked him.

However much Sky paid for that, it was money well spent from the viewers' perspective!

What would be just as funny would be Newcastle re-employing Allardyce after they'd been relegated by him; as he's a dead man walking and on the lookout for a new job.

I think Sky Sports are showing 'Relegation Sunday', featuring Hull, Newcastle and Sunderland's matches.

So now that Sunderland are safe, the only reason for putting on that match might be to listen to the crowd's reaction if ever Newcastle look like going down.

Allardyce probably still has a lot of friends at Newcastle and may have a soft spot for them. Will he be really driven to send them down?

Apparently he has a holiday home in Spain named 'St. James's', because it was bought with the pay-off he got from Newcastle. He is quite bitter about it still, it seems.
