Phew...

funny though that in every one of these relegation threatened seasons we haven't once been involved in the last day drama.

Actually, technically, mathematically we have.

Wigan? Not really involved though as I don't think any of us went there worried about relegation.

If you're going to have a local boy made good turning out for his local team for his entire career,  I'd rather have a Steven Gerrard at Villa Park than, say, a Gabby.

Glad Palace scored for two reasons one it's spoiling Slippy's day and secondly it was the last goal I needed on my accumulator and it won me £46.

Poll on the BBC website asking who people think is the best midfielder of the Premier League era.

Apparently, they're unaware that competitive football did actually exist before 1992. Twats.

I wish Gerrard  sounded/looked like he has actually enjoyed at least one day of his 17 years playing football for a living.

What's all of this guard of honour bollocks about as well?  As a professional footballer, being asked to line up and praise another team or player at the start of the game must be a very galling experience.  If I was the opposing manager, I'd tell them to piss off.

That must be Photoshopped!

There's no way Stevie G would be holding the league trophy.
